Thanks for the welcome! I bought the birds from Greg Romer Bantams. I asked him to help us pick a pair since I've never raised these. He said these two were the best ones he had for sale of the Self Blues. I'll try to get some better photos soon.

I saw some green silkies at the Crossroads show. And pink,and blue and orange ones too. That's just wrong.

I wasn't going to go that far no mater what I think. But I will say the only thing uglier than a partridge silky is a partridge show girl.

JJ, don't pick on the little silkies, I was thinking about going with those until I showed the kids what they looked like without feathers and Ethan said "Shooo god, they been charcoaled". Then I went with my other love "d'anvers". So if it hadn't been for their charcoal skin being so disgusting to my child, I might have went with the little weirdos. LOL
But I always did like the unusual, and I now think d'anvers are gorgeously unusual.

and Aubrey, when ya get that green or purple one started, just go ahead and put me down for a set.

Been on the road, came home late last night with a Quaker and a Pineapple Conure, Yep that's me "the bird brain", it was a three hour drive, but I enjoyed the view.
