I am far from an expert but here is what made it come togeather for me. All chickens are made using two colors, black and red.White is just the absence of these two colors. There are five mutations that decide how these colors are distributed on the chicken. That is the first letter you see e+, E, ER ,eWH and eb. This is just the base model like when you buy a car. The rest of the letters are the options. There are color options that effect the red, color options that effect the black and color options that effect both.Then there are pattern options that effect the feathers. Hate for you all to see how simple I think.
