yep JJ it always help to have an end goal first. Laced would be great. I started one last year but had to put it off a bit to work on finishing others. It can either be a quick 2 year one or it can take several years, either way there's a lot of culling to get a true complete laced bird.

but no, the others arent too hard at all, just takes the starter birds and some time. Good luck with all of it!

Finally, I have this one. I believe it hatched from a cuckoo or a black egg. Has gold leakage in the hackles, a little gold lacing in the breast, and a few white spots on the ends of some feathers. Any chance it is a birchen of some kind?
