Glad they are doing good for you. It looks like about a third of the blue ones are Pretty clean Columbians.

mine like that have ended up being silver quail on the dark side, but they have something else going on for sure. That aint quail patterning in the down for sure. With luck, I'm back breeding the ones like that for a shot at the duckwings. If that dont work I'll just breed them to the bb reds. I know that will finish them off. I'd mark them for sure so you can keep up with which ones they were
I was looking this evening and I have hatched a pile of bb reds so this weekend I am putting a Columbian rooster in with my bb red hens.

Thank you to everyone keeping this thread going. I haven't got a D'anvers just yet, so I haven't pictures or guidance to add. But I keep coming back to see who's posted any photos or stories about their birds. It's like I'm a stalker.

good to know, figured it had to be VA water or something!

I noticed a few this hatch that looked mighty light over all, was betting they took to the columbian side... good to know...

if you get too many of those bb reds piled up, let me know... I need a bunch more here. They are great for all kinds of projects. My problem Is mine arent hitting on squat so far this season, and I have about 5 projects that rely on bb red hens haha

kept back several last fall for this, of course every freakin one ended up being cockerels...bout how my luck goes seems like

Chickee, what color(s) did you get? Congrats on getting your eggs!
