Not if they are from both porcelain parents...
Doesnt matter what they had in them. If they are borh porcelain they only make porcleian

Porcelain to mille makes all mille split for lavender

Porcelain to a split lav mille makes porcelain and milles aplit for lavender

Mille split by mille split makes porcelain, mille, and more split lav milles

That's what I thought, but you know me, always second guessing myself. That means that when my own porcelain hen, Maura, produced a mille chick the last time she brooded, Spike had to be the sire, not Aubrey, though Spike is 3/4 porcelain himself.

Your namesake is full porcelain. He's one of the originals. Spike is his son and Spike's mother is 1/2 porcelain 1/2 mille. So, Spike over my full porcelain hen produced mostly porcelains but one mille chick. I don't think your namesake breeds as much as his son does so Spike is the sire of most chicks that have hatched in the past year or so.

Aw, Aubrey, you mean you can't keep all my chickens straight? Shame on you!

Rusty was the mean-as-a-snake original that I rehomed early on. Rufus went to live in Kentucky and took up with Asian women. Angus was the original porcelain male I lost to what I think may have been some heart defect or malfunction. So, the only original rooster I still have is Aubrey, your namesake. He probably got the staying power from his name.

He sure knows his name and when I start talking to him, using his name, he looks at me sideways and starts his threatening d'Anver stalk, LOL. He doesn't flog me as much as he used to, though. He saves his strength for beating up on Spike when Spike starts to spar with some other rooster at the fence. Then Aubrey puts the smackdown on him-he doesn't do such things, they are beneath him.

Spike, my mille (who is 3/4 porcelain) is just a big wussy boy. You know he's two years old and never got even a hint of a spur? I have had to cut Aubrey's back three or four times just so he doesn't get caught on something.

Ugh, I was just catching up on this thread and read all the pit bull stuff. I am an Animal Control Officer up here in Wisconsin and boy does that breed cause a lot of problems. Not much will stop them, even bullets aren't always effective unless you hit them just right. There are certain sprays you can buy, but those don't always work either. The only good thing about pepper spray is that if you spray the dog and it returns home to the owner, the owner might have a good time dealing with getting pepper spray on themselves or inhaling it after handling their dog. I hope your neighbor really does get rid of the dog, that's really the only solution, especially since it will want to come back over to your place after all the "fun" it has there.
I'm sorry Animal Control wasn't very supportive. I am always understanding when someone's chickens get attacked, I know how it feels! A lot of times people don't understand how much we care about chickens. They aren't just egg or meat producers, they are our pets!

Yeah, this breed seems to be that way spur wise.
I have some that grow 2" a year between caping. Then i have totally spurless ones, and 3-4 year olds with cockerel nubs still. Seems they have a spurless gene im betting. And the nubby ones are probably split for it and the no spur one are pure for it.... Kinda nice being spurless with their attitude

Interesting. Spike is completely spur-less and very sweet so even if he had spurs, he wouldn't be using them on me-he's my little buddy. Your namesake grows them like he's on some spur-steroid treatment and he's pretty much the typical jerky D'anver male. They curve so much, I think he has trouble sitting when they get to be 3" long or so. I have to trim those bad boys.
