I would just like to say that my young hens are now...in Jan/Feb laying 6 -7 eggs per day out of 16 gorgeous hens. Not bad, for winter?

Aubrey, I was very pleased with the quality of the chicks that I got from you last June. I even managed to give away that beautiful freebie, the BB Bantam Phoenix roo. Ain't easy to give away immature roosters. He was so pretty!, but I wanted to keep the d'Anvers pure. My current setup doesn't allow me to have "separate breeding populations" (please look up Hot Desert Chick's Palais des Poulets...). I may have to come back for more,....after the divorce?

Following pics were taken around 5 1/2 months of age. Some feathering & growing yet to happen at timeline of photos:

Very pleased with my past order. The neighbors are also loving the small/cute eggs. As we are.

For the new folks who want D'Anvers, Aubrey is the go-to guy, have no fear in buying from him. He ships eggs perfectly, honest man to deal with, known him on BYC for years, so get on Boggy Bottom Bantams list for eggs or chicks! Though we won't be continuing to breed D'Anvers, I absolutely adore mine. My hens are the sweetest things on the planet. Of the two roosters, only one is mildly aggressive, my porcelain older male, Aubrey (namesake, lol). He, in his "old age" (5 yrs) has mellowed somewhat and doesn't really put much energy into attacking me, unless I bring a camera or phone into the coop. Even then, it's mostly threats now.

Spike, his mille, split-porcelain son, is stunningly gorgeous. If I showed birds, I would have won with that guy! He has perfect conformation and coloring and comb type. He is spur-less while Aubrey has lethally long ones that I have to cut in half with the dremel from time to time so the poor guy can just sit well.

Spike will fly to my arm for treats and he only nips me if I'm too slow getting the jar top off his scratch jar. So, he's one of the milder mannered males I've had. I've had the evil brats, too, but they are ALL named "Rusty", after the original Rusty, who was the worst tempered D'Anver male I ever got out of these, but have had none quite as bad since. They've mostly been middle of the road in temperament, maybe thanks to Spike being the sire of many of the chicks.

thanks everyone, very nice to hear.
and yes, I'll have 30+ varieties easily. Think Im currently at 50 here. so yep, there will be plenty of lavenders

that silver mille girl turned out really nice. All of them did, but she catches my eye just cause of how much I love that color
