Creles -- when they first starting showing those white spots, I thought they were looking mottled too.. Then I saw the dark tips on the feathers and figured it was barring. I checked out the crele oegb pullets at a couple of shows and they have it too, it must be right, them oegb guys are about the most serious people I have met when it comes to chickens.





 
I'm starting to warm up to those gold necks, JJ. The pullets are really nice. Sure don't need any more, though. I can't rehome my extras now; thankfully, out of the 16 total D'Anvers in that coop, I have only 4 males, so the sex ratio is just fine. Problem is, both of the younger males have feathers on the legs, one pullet has feathered legs and my sweet always broody Aimee is the culprit, though she doesn't have actual feathers there, just little teeny stubs running down the outside of her legs.
