It was likely colder than that before I had gotten up as it was supposed to be -10° F. I do know, the wind is pretty chilly. My Mom's pipes were frozen, so all morning I was going around and trying to find where they were frozen. I've unthawed enough frozen pipes that I know how to tell if they're frozen, and they weren't frozen where I expected them to be. Instead, they were frozen much further down where a thread had let loose on a sewing job that was done several years ago to hold in the insulation. There's not really any I can do about the hole right now, but I got her pipes running again and she's trickling the water to keep them from freezing again.
I wasn't sure if I captured anything worth while, but I liked the little sparkles in the snow last night.
And now for today's picture:
That was taken first thing this morning of the snow we had then. (I've gotten more snow since hand, plus have done a lot of shoveling.) The tractor plowing driveways woke me up at 6 am this morning with it's bright lights shining through my bedroom window about five to six feet away from my trailer. That was quite the wake up call.
This morning's sunrise. I took a few different pictures from different spots, but this one was my favorite. I wish I was out on the small cliff to photograph it. Due to my changed schedule and a few other unwanted elements, I haven't been able to get out and take my birds out for my annual sunrise shots this year.
