I think you have a really pretty little bantam Easter Egger, but let us know how it develops. Would be interested to see.

I think so also. She is seriously so fluffy. Her legs are kind of silvery colored. I am excited to see how she turns out. I will post when she grows up.

I saw a chick in the assorted bantam bin at TSC this morning that had me really confused. Looked porcelain, very fuzzy legs, beard and it appeared to have a rose or pea comb! What the heck??? I'm thinking it was a d'Uccle that just had the tiniest comb points on the planet and I just couldn't see them from my vantage point over the big tub, but if not, it would almost have to be a mix of some sort.


I avoided TSC's chicks as I always do as I hate their practices and went to a locally run feed store in NC that got in Buff Orp and New Hampshire sexed pullets this morning from Mt. Healthy. Got two of each for me and Ladyhawk to divide when she visits in April. I have never tried any from that hatchery. These appeared very fat and sassy and hungry, not lethargic at all like I see in other places. They only charged $2.95 each, didn't make me get any minimum and didn't want my name, address and first-born son so they could confiscate them when some disease wafted through N. Ga.

Aimee was thrilled. The porcelain D'anver baby, not so much. It was scared of those monster Baby Hueys!

The teeny porcelain and its gargantuan mates got outside for the first time today at 4 days old and inhaled so much animal protein that Aimee scratched up for them, I think they will sleep well tonight, LOL. Here is Aimee and her five chicks. Two Buff Orps, two New Hampshires and the lone Porcelain d'Anver.

What will I get if I cross a porcelain roo to Milli pullets. I ended up with 2 milli pullets, 1 milli roo, and a porcelain roo.

Since your milles are part porcelain anyway, you will get some porcelains and some visual milles that are splits as well. Porcelain is just a mille fleur with the lavender gene added in. Not bad, Karen, you got two and two, at least!

Yes. These all have clean legs so I really need to replace Rusty. Which will be hard since he and the girls are attached to each other.

Someone with a new set of hens for him would probably ease his transition away from his girls.

I have a question about sexlinked Cuckoo. If I were to put a Wheaten Serama hen in with my Cuckoo roo? What are the chances for Wheaten colored Cuckoo pullets? In quail gold is dominant. Is it in chickens?
