Aubrey,

I understand the difficulty of extra birds on feed bills.. That is why I, from the bottom of my heart, I am offering to take-in any birds that you should need to part with

Seriously though, your birds are great

. Any new pictures of your project birds??

Zach

Thanks for the offer Zach, will have some of the f1 project birds to spare next spring after I move on to F2 stages, but got to hold on to all of them til then, LOL

Plan to get more pics in a month or so, kinda wanted to wait til all were adult sized to show true look of them. Like the crele project, from my original post of them to now is night and day, they have really colored up a lot, look half crele already, first pics just showed a few red feathers leaking in, now most the hackle and half the back is colored..
Plan to completely repost all 21 colors and the project birds then as well.
Will keep ya updated!

I caught my little ginger pullet sunbathing on the deck just now. Sweetest bird ever. She runs in the door the first chance she gets, will sit on my lap for as long as I let her, follows us everywhere, talks to me from outside if she knows I'm in the living room and answers when I say things to her too, attacks our shoes playfully (I've sort of encouraged her because it's so darn cute). We really love her very much. She has quite a few nicknames but most often I find myself calling her Little Beard.

I had my doubts about her color but I could have sworn her egg said ginger so I just went with that. She's beautiful, pictures never do them justice. Her feathers have a wonderful sheen to them. The yellows are really golden and the reds are coppery.

I got some new pictures of my little Olive.... a month ago, but I just uploaded them

So how's everyones birds fairing in this nice cold snap?
Been in low 20's here all week, so far so good. Calling for 14 next week, LOL
I know a lot of your northern folks would most likely love to see 14, but for us here, that's unheard of.

Plan on getting a few updated F1 pics of those creles up too soon. Now that they are 3/4 grown, got a couple males showing loads of color in them already just off this first breeding, really excited about them for next spring, as crele is about my favorite color/pattern

Dang 14 degrees ??? We might have us another South Ga snow and if so, I gotta take some of these shade cloth things off my pens or they are gonna cave in, last year that one snow day we got almost caved them in with just the top netting. Course its not like the chickens are gonna want any shade anyway, they are probably gonna be wanting all the early mornin sun they can get. So I'll take it down tomorrow. But mine are good so far too and they are pretty much like yours with just a roof but the shelters are open and all.
