d'anver lovers,discuss the breed and post some pics!

ust got power back on after 5 1/2 hours and babies hatching in the bator! Went out at 1:30 a.m. and DH already had the generator and extension cords ready to provide power to both bators, the brooder and the Firetower where there are four youngsters.

One porcelain is almost fluffed out, a mille fleur d'anver has just hatched, four others are pipped out of the nine. Today is Day 20.


ETA: Second porcelain hatched! I can't thank you enough, Aubrey, for these gorgeous little critters.

I've waited for these babies for over a year so I'm very happy. And I'm very glad the porcelains decided to make their appearance in the beginning of the hatch so I didn't have to be on pins and needles too long!

What color? I love my standard Ameraucanas so much. Killed me to lose my Charlotte yesterday. They are the sweetest birds.​

Lavender and B/B/S

I have some LF Lavender eggs coming from Cindy ( a.k.a. CrystalCreek ). Really excited about those!! I really love the Buff AM's...but I think my mother would kill me!!

I bought 2 sportsmans the other day so now room isn't an issue..just dough!!!$$$

How many chicks/eggs do you now need to sell to pay for them vs. the extra money they are going to cost you as you will be hatching/feeding everything in sight!
