Please do. I try my best to be very quick in replies, and as quick as possible with orders, and mainly keep everyone happy with both me personally and mainly the birds they get.. I stay pretty backed up though, so sometimes there is a wait especially for the rarer stuff. Will be glad to get some up for you if you decide to down the line.
In the mean time, please take a look at the birds, theres close to 280 or so pics of d'anver alone on there.

Yep, they shipped this morning.

The mottled eggs with an L on them also have a possiblity of being lavender mottled too, figured you may like a few of them, they are super beautiful.
If they dont, they'll be black split to lavender, with those you can make both mottled colors, stay all black if you want or make some lavender ones too.

I got them at a post-poultry show auction at least 5-6 years ago, and they probably were a couple years old then, so these aren't young birds. I am guessing they were breeder stock, as the way they were banded with multiple, numbered and color-coded bands that might have indicated that they were being numerically ID'd for breeding and/or show. It was also evident that they were kept on wire as it took them a year to learn how to walk on solid ground or to dustbathe.

Really, they were tough as nails until this year. The cock is still healthy and fine; he recovered completely. But the hen went downhill and died last week. I'm wondering whether they had an absorption problem in the intestines. At first I thought worms, but they are wormed along with the rest of the birds. It made me wonder why just they had the issue and none of the other 25 birds.

It could be that they were badly inbred and maybe were siblings. It's amazing that some weird genetic traits can emerge from botched "line breeding."

d'Anvers really are great little birds, though, and I will definitely be getting more if I can find the right breeder.

Boggy Bottom Bantams is a great choice for quality stock. Check out his website to see what he offers, you may be very surprised as how many colors they come in. He also has great customer service with quick, concise responses to all questions. Good Luck

Just got in from work, well at least they are finally pipping, this new incubator seems to be running a day behind on what my other 4 do. One dun is out though and the rest are working on it, so should get them off tomorrow either way.

I am just checking on something that I sort of remember reading some time ago. Does mixing a mille fluer with lavendar makes a porcelain ? I got the idea here because of the post where Aubrey mentioned mixing mottled and lavendar and haveing different colored offsprings.

Hi Aubrey, glad to hear my babies are going to be on the way tomorrow. I assume you must have both of my color choices in the same incubator and therefore they hatch on the same day? I suppose they could hatch two different days and still be okay for shipping? I am also curious if you are able to get any extra Porcelain in my box? Really excited to see my babies. They are going to love their new home

yes.
Though not right off the bat
both mottled and lavender are recessive traits, they will not be obvious right of the get go. you will have to back breed the first black offspring. Those will then make porcelains in the long run, will also get some lavender mottled that way too

yes your full order and 3 more are all in that incubator.
will send any extras on either if I have any
will let you know the tracking number and quantities of each tomorrow!!
