Just thought I would post some recent picture of my Dun Trio from BBB. Anyone who would like to critique is welcome to do so. Aubrey I would love to hear what you think of color and type. Emily has the darker beard than Charlotte. Hers is really full also but is lighter so does not show as well in pics. Carmines comb is very small still but seems to be of nice type, right? I never think to get a closeup of it. They were hatched just after Easter so not quite 5months old.

Tonight when I went to lock them up the two girls jumped down to visit. I picked them up and cuddled them and they told me a story. I put them back in and shut the door and they were scratching at it. I went around to the other door to check for eggs and they came over and I put them up next to Carmine so they could settle in. They are the sweetes birds ever

Nottingham chicks, a critique of your dun quail trio. I'm not a breeder of dun, but I do have a pair of pullets who are my very favorite in my flock. I think your pullets' bearing is very nice & they have well-developed muffs & beards. My girls have light beige on the muffs & beard, instead of grey, and are a bit warmer toned on the saddles & tails. They look like they're developing nicely. Your cockerel is fetching as well, but I don't have a dun quail to compare him to. All in all they look great. I don't have the slightest if they're SQ. Thanks for submitting the nice pictures in the outdoor setting which shows them off well.

Thanks BantyShanty! I love their color and hope to get some real nice chicks from them. Only a trio though so I won't be busting at the seams. I also got them from BBB. He has some real nice stock

yep, Not..

they defiantely are looking very good. Not much to crittique on any of them. I feel they would definately worry folks at a show, just about perfect, other than they arent a recognized color. The only thing I see on any of them that I wish was better is the males comb. It's correct, but is better with fuller , taller spikes on the front end of it. Look at Speckled Hens millies a page back, you'll see what I mean. But aside from a small comb on him, they are perfect examples of the breed, great type, perfect color, excellent posture, etc



red, the bb is coming along too, he'll be a looker in another month or so once he gets all his bright colors in
