That is what I will do then. I have some decent quail pullets, seems you can't swing a dead cat in this part of the country without finding quail d'Anvers. I also see gold duckwing on the calculator.

Also, how do you keep all the projects seperate when hatching?

I have about 30 projects going I think between d'anver and bantam phoenix. Each eggs is marked by pen/project. At hatch I put each project in a separate incubator, or with other project colors that are obviously different.
Then I take the chicks and mark them accordingly and record the mark method in my log book. Toe clipping is the normal way I do it. You got 4 toes per foot so that's 8 just on toe clipping 1 toe. Just barely snip the nail off the tip and they'll be permanently marked. Bands would work too, but finding ones tiny enough for these is tuff, plus you will constantly have to change them as they grow. The toe clip just works best for me in what I do.

That's true, but the cream in the d'anver is a long shot. Been wanting to work cream into some of mine for a long time, but havent found any to work with just yet. Looking like an out cross to oegb is gonna have to be done. But yes, I fully agree, it is possible in them and if you get one showing that, definately keep it. You can make all sorts of stuff of it.

there is not currently cream in OE, it is a common color resulting in Light brown Dutch.. the boys should have a few cockrells by spring 2013. I can send your way if you would like.. A good friend gave them two cream dutch cockrells about 3 weeks ago and are already paired with the BB hens.

I nhave got a plan for bb red . Now I have a pair of porcelain, a mille cockrel and a self blue hen. I was thinking that pairing the mille with the porcelain pullet and the porcelain cockrel with the self blue hen would be my best shot. What do you all think?

I made that cross along with a few others working on our Porcelian OE and from the F1xF1 hatched less than 1% back to good porcelian. But with the Millie it was 1/2 and 1/2.

Ok I thought I had seen some on a website once, but double checked and they werent true creams. Yep, dutch then. If yall do end up with either down the road, a few cockerels would be nice. Thanks

Not to make any foes but I just love looking at those sweet silkies. I got two as a bonus/suprise when I bought some eggs. One lived, one did not. My granddaughter adore her!
