yep Misty, that'd be my best advice, breed them and keep tabs on what happens, either way they arent a certain Known color, but IF they breed true, they can become one!!
Thanks on the Feather site comment. Got to looking, they used some from all my stuff, d'anvers, phoenix, creveies, houdans, silkies, etc Pretty cool
Laura Lee....where have you been?? You get on me for not being here 24-7 now...I was beginning to wonder about you haha
Oh you're gonna have at least 1 toe rag in there for sure, odds are just stacked against you. I seem to find certian colors tend to be a bit worse, but may just be the lines too, or individuals. I've never had a nice black or blue, period, mottled pattern birds run both ways, nice or mean as gfhfjgk. Black mottleds are all toe rags, quail colors usually arent too bad, 1 in 5 or so may be. oh and the bb red and ginger red are little hellions. Aside from that, most of the others arent too bad. Barred colors, whites, columbians, and duns have never shown any signs of aggression, SO FAR.
NanaKat,
glad you found the thread or at least posted on it finally, welcome to it. That is a good looking male you got, I've always heard good things about Bob's birds, especially his blacks, though I have never seen any in person.. He looks about perfect though. Congrats on him
