That's what I have been planning. I hope to get some pullets out of him and a quail this year, This fall I should have three different lines of un related millies. Then next year I was going to put the bb red with the quail cross pullets and some millies. Of course that is another pen I will have to build this summer.Along with whatever else I happen to get into my head.JJ,
yep I'd keep all of them. Milles are good for all sorts of projects too. Use that bb male you have to them and you'll get buff columbians right off the bat, no waiting involved. You'll have to back breed them to get them to breed pure, they'll make half millies and half columbians the second time... then on they'll breed pretty much true.
Yep if darker is your goal, it isnt bad... Just keep selecting the darker birds. I like them both and have a mix of both....
