I don't even remember. It was Carly who was the last to lay and yep, it was around that late for her. All of them were over 40 weeks, though. I thought Carly was trying to go broody today. There won't be any hens left for the boys in there! She was on a nest, one she never lays in, screaming at everyone. Then, my Cochin decided she had to lay, so apparently, she pushed Carly out and laid in there because I found her egg under Carly later and Carly didn't lay at all. I hope she isn't working up to broody. If she is, I just ought to move all of them, chicks in tow, back into the coop. Good grief.
Yeah, I thought the oddball chick was looking more normal as he was feathering out. I hope I have at least one or two pullets in this group. That would be enough, really, which was my goal, to add just a couple in addition to a Coch'Anver pullet or two, so the males would have enough girls to go around.
Looks like Angus is moving up in rank. I saw him literally knock Aubrey into the side of the coop today so I think he's bucking for second place in the group rather than dead last. Rufus is still head honcho, though.
