I knew you couldnt stand it. They do make nice milles the second go round. Plus it helps add blood to the color. This one thing so many people dont do. Most that have these rarer colors just worry about making a show bird with no concern for the line. Some are scared they'll ruin it or many just dont know how to color cross.
There are only so many blood lines of them in the US, like on the milles. So anytime you can do a quick 2 year cross like that and get right back to the color you started with, well it's a major plus and a huge contribution to the breed. Otherwise, they'll do like the buffs, bb red, and columbians have done. They are all in the standard, but I dare you to try to find any any more....
MORE POEPLE NEED TO BE DOING THIS... It's a major help!! Thanks JJ
And for God's sake, dont make hairy leggers out of them...haha...... actually that works too if you take them all the way back to type
Hey JJ
what about a crele sub for the bb reds? Could get you them and the others you wanted in no time. I just have my bb's all tied up right now in crele work. We can wait if you want...just figured I'd offer. These will be single factored creles, so back to a bb, you'll get both. Plus I need someone else working with them to get them going....all up to you, just an idea
