Hi all,
I'm being to suspect my dark brahma is a boy, while there are no regulations on keeping roosters in my area, I don't need one at the moment.
I read that the white feathers coming in on the wings means roo. What do you think.
The chick's around 5 weeks, might still be too early to say.
Thank you!

If you have any other Marans compare the comb size and maybe see if the spurs are coming in yet also if he is kinda bossy he may be or if he puffs the feathers up on his neck and hops around I’d say it’s a roo

I’ve never had dark brahmas or know too much about there feathering but I think the breast would be more solid colored if it was male

Thank you, but it's too early for spurs and they all argue to a degree. It's a brahma, and I have no other brahmas.

I'd think so too, I'm going to have to wait longer, I think
I don't know about brahma coloring. I would say possibly male. Try comparing foot size to others of the same breed if you have them.
I have no other Brahman, but the feet look the same as my other chicks.
