Ok Im on day 8 or 9 of eggies in the bator....my eggs are all dark except for the BUFF ORPS...I went to candle them, but I cant figure it out...so my experts friends...HELP...
I cut a hole in an egg carton the size of a dime, got a small flash light held it under and set the egg in there...all I see is dark egg shell...some have just dark space...darker I meant...I thought you were suppose to see the chick or bloddy veins?
How can I tell if there good? all I know is Im due to hatch Aug 7th
OK UPDATE: As of today Saturday 25th, I did this, I got a tiolet paper roll cause its not long, I had a small LED flashlight, my medic flashlight...I put it in there, it kept falling to the side, so I wrapped it in tiolet paper enough to make it fit snug, and sure enough it worked...I started with one egg at a time, and a very dark room, cupped my hand over the top part of the tp roll, and park of the egg, LAYING on its side...I SAW BABIES!!!!! Moving, and slotching around...now the middle row eggs in the bator 4 of them exploded I guess, they were stuck and oozing. so I managed to take 2 out but the other 2 are stuck solid...what do I do???? And do I leave the goo on the bottom of the bator tray? wont it make the others contaminated??? If I take them all out to clean wont the temp. drop hurt the other good ones??? HELP....
I have 4 CUCKOO MARANS...And 8 RIRs, and 12 Buff Orps...Im excited!!!! DUE AUG. 7TH....My very first time.
