Dark eye

It looks like ocular Mareks disease to me as well. She looks like shortly she will need to be kept near food and water to find enough. A wire dog crate inside the coop with the other chickens would be good. Place her own food and water in there. I would eventually try to get a necropsy performed on her when she passes away, just to confirm Mareks. It can have implications on whether your flock will all be carriers or not.

Here she is today. Perfectly normal except that eye. Husband did discover yesterday the local feral cat glued to the run fishing in...my girls are used to cats from a previous awesome cat, so we wondering if she was investigating him and got nailed. Today she even seemed to be "seeing" more with the bad one.

First time I have posted on this site, the feedback is amazing!

Also pic of her with her sister (sister in back)

She's so pretty:)

It very well could be from a poke to eye. If she is doing o.k. and seems to be eating/drinking well, then I would just keep a watch on her. If she becomes lethargic, stops eating or the eye forms a discharge, then you would need to investigate further.

Silver update: her eye color is starting to seem to return to normal (it's not as dark) and she seems to see a bit more and more out of it. Still no signs of any other issues and remains happy and healthy otherwise.

This is great! Thank you for the update:)
