Dark spot on duck egg! Pleas help!

it looks completely dark there was a light spot but I don't know if it was yolk or not

good news, i would say safety hole

guideline

24 hours internal pip to external pip, then another 24 for external pip to thinking about zipping BUT ducks can sometimes and usually take waaaaay longer to get from external pip to zipping (like 36 hours)

But where yours seems to already have most of the yolk absorbed keep a closer eye on it it may tire and need help zipping, due to a malpositioning in the egg

you dont want it to be ON the paper towel, that may chill it
if it looks shrink wrapped, you can take a qtip and moisten the membrane with water, coconut oil, neosporin, etc just dont get it on the nostrils

Yes it is. If it keeps wiggling it's bill and opens it sometimes. every once in a while it will make a small peep.

yawning motion means it is still absorbing yolk

moisten the membrane for now

The others haven't done anything.
I did what you said, took it off the paper towel and moistened the membrain with a qtip but I can't really see his nostrils, I think they're under the membrane.

A Whitish color
It doesn't look like a yawn, it looks more like trying to peep
