Darn Post Office

If the seller insured the box you should get a check from USPS. The seller fills out all the info and sends it accordingly. That is the only way the post office will refund. I believe you should check with the seller's policies.

I would think the post office could take responsibility for there own mistakes like an adult but they play the blame game like a five year old. Does it cost more to use UPS or fed x for shipping eggs? Are they more responsibil and respectful? the post office made me fell stupid for ordering eggs that needed to be shipped. BTW i try to only order eggs from BYC members just like this batch of 4 doz. jumbo cotournix. Its like buying from a trusted friend.

You don't want to use UPS for eggs. They will break a ham in half. They broke 2 very expensive rifles that I shipped and insured through them and never did pay my claim. I have a friend that drives for them and he told me he has seen other employees playing ball with packages

I worked across the street from a UPS hub. We had some Summer help that worked at UPS and he said they would play soccer with packages all the time. Especially if they were labeled "Fragile".

I know that putting "Fragile" on a box is like putting a bulls-eye on it, but what if the box was labeled "Perishable"? I wonder if that would help or hurt or not matter.

Well the eggs come today all looks good but DD got some button quail from ebay and 6 out of 12 where broken and all where covered in yoke you can clearly see some one kicked the box one side is crushed.

I like the idea of marking a box explosive, lol and totally agree that buying from a BYC member is like buying from a trusted freind. I would also like to add that as a buyer I would being willing to pay a little more for the insurance if the seller is not. Which the seller shouldn't be resposible for anyway but if I were selling espessially to another byc member I would be willing to pay 50% of the cost of insurance if the buyer wanted it.
