Davis Improved treadle sewing machine manual (smm396)

Thanks green... I've tried looking in that site, and they've got pics of a few of theirs, but since I'm not standing in front of it I can't be 100% sure it's the right one. There's one that looks a lot like the one above, but it's got lever/foot rest whatever things coming out the front... with mom's vision it's entirely possible that she can't tell whether the picture she's saying is the right one has those or not. And, even if it was the right one I can't find anything but info about ordering a manual for the dern thing. Awesome to have a manual, no mistake. But doesn't help in finding a price to sell the actual machine for. Bit frustrating.

Told her to call up the local shops, or have Pepaw do that (low stress job)... we'll see. They've been doing pretty well on the clearing and the selling so far... even had a looker for the Rambler ... 1969 I think... station wagon... SO cool. I'd jump on it if I had the moolah but alas, I'm stuck with my Ford POS. *shrug*

we have alot of treadles around here.

if is is just good shape and not fine shape you can ask $125.00 to $200.00 for it.

at least that apears to be the Singer brand price range, if they look mint condition then it maybe a whole lot more

Thanks Golden... that's the first time I've even found a guesstimate so that's huge.

Also told mom to check the antique stores in the area. Southern Living did a spread on Antiquing Around LR so there are plenty of shops... as Memaw knew all too well. Bet Pepaw knows some people in those places too.

That's the bummer though, I have no idea about condition, or even for sure the model, since I'm here and it's there. But I can pass along WoW.
