(Day 1) 29-Day Giving Challenge - A place for sharing.

I let the DS's take my Debt card to the store to get a few things. They lost it. I cancelled it and I didnt say anything ugly to them.

But boy did I want to...lol.

So, my gift was patience and understanding for them and avoiding a high BP moment for me. =/

Im collecting fertile eggs ( sold them) but collecting afew extra days for them as bonuses:) Ive been giving rides to people at work who are having a bad time with their vehicles. Havent given really free eating eggs out in a week or so:-( I did volunteer to take a sweet girl overnight tonight so her mom can do some grown up women things:)

Thanks, WriterofWords!

I gave away another doz. eggs yesterday to a neighbor family we're close to. It was a belated Valentines day gift because I didn't have enough eggs to make up a dozen for them, last Sunday.

My DH has been feeling ill & not sleeping well, with a residual cough left over from a cold he had recently. This weekend I've tried to help him get the rest he needs and tried to find ways to relieve his nasty cough.

It's windy right now,, reallllly reallllly windy! We were leaving Wal Mart and buggy was blowing in the wind, running hard right for a nice car. Steven jumped out of the truck and chased and caught it before it hit the car and put it away.

Today I traded eggs for trout! I don't know if that is classified as giving but I know we got to have a fresh trout dinner

and one of my customers who likes to fish didn't have to pay for his eggs.

Damummis - thanks for the offer of seeds but I don't think you can send them through customs. I had wanted to participate in a seed trade and was told they didn't know all the rules for crossing the border so I'll decline so we don't get in trouble.

Isn't is nice to get rid of thingsthat you have no use for but you know still are useable? I did alot of that before we moved here. I used freecycle and always had someone coming or going. Sounds like you had a busy day cleaning, sorting, shopping, showing off your chickens . . . After all that you need to give yourself a relaxing time with wine and needlepoint. Good for you.

WriterofWords - that was very nice of you to go out of your way for the parent. I'm sure they really appreciated it, and it must have been tough not to say anything to the negative staff. You showed class!

Sounds like the new club should be a hit - so many neat things to learn and share.

debiraymond - giving time to a budding chef is important. I'm sure her family appreciates the help as well.

sonew123 - Giving people rides is great on several accounts - you're helping them plus the environment by carpooling!

Also having a sleepover so the mom could have some time to herself was very nice of you.
