Ahh, the stress of the first hatch...it'll be alright.

Yeah it will be fine. BackYard_Quail, do you think that quail in the wild raise the humidity and stop turning exactly 3 days prior to hatch? No they do none of these things. These techniques are man made injects that simply increase hatch rates. Don't worry about it.

Also, movement of the eggs is overrated. Some do, some don't.

I remember thinking my whole first batch of coturnix wasn't going to hatch because there was no movement or sound. That is until "Quail Krakatoa" erupted and I had a 95% hatch rate.

Get a bright flashlight and look very close, do you see any tiny cracks? they'll only be visible if the light hits the edge.

If you don't, don't worry. but if you do thats a good indication that something is going on in there.



I am assuming you have a window, don't open it just to look, if you do not.

I edited my post, do you have a window? if so sure shine the light thru the window, but don't open the incubator just to look.

My flashlight isn't bright enough, can't see through the shell. It's alright I'll just wait til day 21 if they don't hatch i'll take them out and candle them with a different flashlight.

No no, don't handle or try to candle them, Just look at the surface of the shell.
