Just came in from candling, havent done it in a few days...trying not to be a pest...I have such an understanding hen!!!
Looks like all 5 eggs she is setting on have growing peeps, bigger then last time I candled, alive and all kicking still....
Now its really starting to get nervewracking, this is going to be the longest week ever!!!
On another note, my second try with the first broody, I set 4 eggs under her last week, I checked them this evening, one had a cracked shell, looked like she poked it too hard, so I removed it...I knew I would probably have to remove one anyway, as she just cannot cover them all properly it seems...the other 3 eggs, they look promising!!! At this point, I will be happy if she has 1 chick that hatches, as this girl has been trying the longest to be a mom...She is skittish though, so we have been trying to leave her alone, and that may be working! I am just glad she doesnt get all crazy when we want to take a peek...
