Yesterday, after candling our four maran eggs, my son returned them to the incubator upside down. They are in an incubator with an automatic turner. I discovered this today, and candled again to see that the air pocket was in the small end, and returned them to their proper position. Is the hatch ruined? All but one are viable. Will they settle back into correct position? Thank you for any information.

Personally I think they will. If you consider the heck that an egg goes through when being sat on by the mother then you kind of start to see how tough the little guys really are! They get stepped on, flipped over, rolled around, you name it! I think your eggs should be fine!

I was concerned with the amount of air being reduced in small end, but was hoping that the little fellas would scoot back down where they belong so that more air would be available.... if it wasn't too late.. Thank you!

Oh Yeah! Totally get your concern! I sound all cold and heartless but I freak out over stuff that isn't even as big a concern as yours! Reminding other people helps to remind myself! Happy Hatching!
