I have a Maran cross Wyandotte egg in the incubator that I am concerned about. It is still alive, but can someone tell me that the egg looks fine for day 14.

See attached pictures.

I need some advice urgently:
This same egg is now on day 22 and is having problems hatching. I haven't opened the incubator. It pipped on day 20 and has been in the egg for about 45 hours now.

Any suggestions would be kindly appreciated.

Chick has dried off now. I just have one question, can a Wyandotte rooster and Maran hen create offspring with a standard normal comb? As I thought that the offspring inherits the comb of the father, a rose comb.

I think they can have either. I have a chicks hatching right now from a SLW Rooster (profile pic) and they look to have a mixture of combs. Two of the hens have rose combs (SLW and GLW) and the other 6 have single combs (Golden Comets and White Leghorns). I'll post pictures once the hatch is done...
