Day 15....any ideas!

Hello everyone, My broody hen (Harriet) has been sitting on 8 eggs a friend of mine gave me. My husband made me a light so I could candle to see if the eggs were good. They are at day 15, due to hatch Monday 29. When I candled I could see one egg clear, I know it was unfertile. NOW... when I did the other 7, I saw nothing, all was dark except for the air cell. Although they are brown eggs I would think I would see something? They aren't due to hatch till Monday. Are they bad? My girl is so dedicated to these eggs it worries me. I was going to wait the 6 days but if they are bad we were going to try giving her baby peeps to raise...I can't let her go through another 3 weeks...it would kill us both! Hope someone has some idea. Thanks!

What you are seeing is normal - sounds like your eggs are just fine! I don't bother candling past day 10, or if I do it's only before I put them in the hatcher to get rid of any infertiles. Good luck!!!!
