Day 16 are these pips?!

These showed up this morning. Teeny tiny little holes in a couple eggs. Sorry for the photo quality, the incubator is kind of hard to take pictures through. Are these pips?

One on the right is bigger and kinda square.

Quail hatch in 17-18 days. They very well might be pips.

They are pips ... nature is no digital machine. I most times have the first hatcher at das 16.

Ahhh I'm so excited! They are rolling around a lot, too, and making tiny chirps! There's another one with a little hole in the back as well now.

So there are a bunch of pips and one egg has like three in a row. I assume that means it's zipping? But now I'm kinda freaking out because the humidity is going nuts. There is NO water in there, yet the incubator is hitting 87% humidity. I keep lifting the lid for a sec to let some air out. The temps are still fine, hovering at 99.5, but the humidity is going absolutely bonkers. Is this normal? For reference, I'm using two hygrometers I got on amazon. They do match (off by like 1% at times).

The humidity normally goes up when they start to pip and zip. There is a lot of moisture inside those eggs, and it's all coming out now.

Should I keep working to lower it, or let it be?
