I have only 1 egg that has survived I am using a cheap incubator and it is my first time. I have candled a couple of times throughout the journey and everything looks good but I am not putting my egg into lockdown and I have some questions. So they have been on a tray I have turned them 2-3 times a day and the temp has stayed consistent (saying the thermometer is accurate). So is it okay if I take them off the tray and set them on their side for lockdown/hatching or do I keep them upright on a tray. My second question is I just candled them and I could still see veins, they are strong and embryo is moving I don’t know exactly the parts I see but I know it’s alive. So should I be seeing veins and if not what does this mean for my chick?
