Day 17 of incubation, temp of incubator low and humidity too high?

In my time zone, it’s been 24 hours since your chick pipped, so I’d consider helping it out, while being as careful as possible to keep humidity up with your remaining chicks. 24 hr is fine for ducklings but a long time for a chick. This is a great guide:

I’m SO thankful you saw this thread and said something and provided the link.
We have a birthday!
I did end up helping little by little over about 4 hours chick is out and scooting all over the place.
Looks super healthy! Thank you !!!!!

Here’s the little guy, not a great pic , wish I could show you the video and how vigorous this baby is! Wowee . Thank you thank you she might not have made it without all of you thank you!!!! Others are coming right along now too pipping and zipping all over the place. What a nice Mother’s Day and fullfillment of a dream I had for over 40 years to hatch chicks 🐥

It sure is running around a lot and knocking other pipped eggs all over the place. I guess that’s okay?
Yes, I have a Mother’s Day hatch too, and our new chicks are treating the eggs like footballs!🙄 Some people will set up their eggs in rings and cartons so they don’t get knocked over, and some people remove the chicks once fluffed. My first from this clutch will be 24 hr in the morning so I’ll removed the hatched chicks then, even if the others are still hatching. Congratulations on your hatch!!!:wee

I’m so happy for you! Happy day! Thank you a million for your assist I’ve lost track of how
Many of ours have hatched at this point, maybe 9 I think. I’m thrilled!
Your sound advice and experience are greatly appreciated. Enjoy your new little brood 🐣🐥

For anyone finding this thread and wondering about the end of the story. Final result 11 total hatched, one died while hatching. The others kicked it upside down and it died where I couldn’t see it. It was near side of the incubator in a corner. 2 others at sides of incubator needed assist to hatch and were glued to their shells. One of those has a very weird leg, don’t know if it can walk like that. Next time will seal the sides of the incubator. Overall I feel very happy with my first ever hatch, Considering all the errors I made. Also wish even more than ever that one of my hens would go broody and do all this for me 🐥
