You sound just like me.
Starting day 21 (last Saturday), I hardly left the bator. In fact I was getting ready to go to bed and noticed another pip, 2 had already hatched, and I just could not make myself go to bed, I stayed up until almost 1 am waiting for that little thing to hatch, I was falling asleep on the bator. LOL My elbows hurt like crazy on Sunday from leaning on them all day watching in the bator.
I never in a million years thought I would love chickens as much as I do, and hatching them is even more fun. Good Luck on your hatch.
I would add water to get your humidity up though. I ended up sticking a straw through my plug hole and using a syringe to suck up the water and putting it into the straw. The only time I took my plug out was when my humidity went above 70% and then I watched it and put it back in when it dropped below 70%. I do have the Hovabator Genesis 1588 though, so it might be a bit different.
