ok so im home from work after 13.5hrs in the ICU...come home to find 8 fuzzy chicks which I have put into the brooder to eat/drink and 2 more eggs pipped. THe guy that was 1/2 zipped was TOTALLY glued into his shell...i dug him out and he is breathing and moving around but the membranes were glued to him...his wings are stuck to his body, his neck was stuck to his chest, legs stuck together...he was a gonna if I hadnt hatched him manually..I bathed him/her in warm water with a cotton bud and got his/her neck and legs and wings freed up ...its still all sticky but looking better. I also hatched out another blue orp..didnt want to go to bed and wake up to find it dead in the shell...the hatcher is obviously not holding the humidity as high as I woud like.
So I think we may be done but maybe another late one in the morning perhaps...total so far:
17 eggs arrived intact
14 developed until the end
10 have hatched into live chicks so far...that is darn GOOD if you ask me for shipped eggs...kudos Cynthia!
