Day 18.....Lockdown

eggs are due the 14th. candled not too long ago. since its my 2nd time hatch im not really sure how theyre supposed to look in development. not having the best feeling. i hope everything turns out well.

I have found a wonderful lady who may give me some Maran, Legbar, and swedish flower hen eggs as well as others. I am going to see if she wants one of my homemade incubators. Duh I should have taken a pic of her eggs- anyway- she only lives 2 miles from me!!!! no shipping!

thank you so much. looks like a bunch of my eggs stopped developing around day 11-12 for some reason.

I have a tricky situation with the Royal Palm turkey eggs my friend brought me. I have already hatched 2 poults out of the dozen eggs. Out of the 9 eggs left in the bator......1 looks like it has about a week left, 2 look like they are half way developed, and 4 look like they are on about day 10 (2 are early quitters). I don't know what I am going to do with these staggered hatches and only one incubator. What should I do???

I am sorry I bet the rest doesn't hatch- what would be really cool is if you could get a bantam for the turkey to keep it company. so cute to see.

I have 7/9 that look to be correctly on day 16, 2 are clear tipped- but may still come around- I have a neighbor friend who is giving me black copper marans, leg bars and possibly swedish flower hens tomorrow. so I guess I am not done hatching yet.

3 hatched, 2 were too big for the shell and died after pipping.

love the ones you are with!!! day 17 4 me-(my own hen's eggs) 7/9 look normal 2 look clear on pointy end- one has a good vein the other is faint veins- I will probably cull it soon getting my maran/swedish flower/legbar eggs today- with a few others tossed in- from a neighbor.

On day 8, I just candled my 17 silkie and sizzle eggs. I had to cull 5, 4 were clear and 1 had a dead ring.
I have 12 left, one has a large air sack so I moved it farther away from the water. The others look good, full of veins. I didn't see movement in all of them 2 or 3 I did. I have followed the suggestions to the exact! Humidity around 40-50%. Temperature reads 102 on one end and 99 on the other end.

It's in the 30's today and I found an egg yesterday and this morning. I am going to try to hatch them, too! They are from my silkie and sizzle.
