Day 18.....Lockdown

day 18 this is a bantam, tan egg mom is charcol cochin/silky dad is a blue laced red wyandotte.

day 19- 8 eggs left since I dropped an egg yesterday, (not the pictured one from above.) one egg has clear on tip- also has inner pip look with beak pecking shell. I tossed in paper towel since they all had a good swoop on candling not too much fluid left so no drowning when they poke through. I think as soon as one starts to peep they will all start to get active. I still have 2 week old chicks under the incubators so they can hear talking.

I have a question please.... Are eggs less fertile during the winter months? A friend purchased some maran eggs and not 1 hatched...
