DAY 18 no sounds no movement

top of day 19..... straw is a great idea... I do not have a turkey baster......

Thank you for all the encouraging positive words. I will not loose hope till day 23 rigth?

I have to give them 2 additional days from what I am reading.

Day 19 no peeps is ok. I will leave them alone and watch humidity level and add water with straw...... and LEAVE THEM ALONE

this is kinda hard after turning them for 17 1/2 days.....

I notice that different places in the incubator are diff temps so when I have been turning eggs I have also been turning the tray so that everyone has equal time is warmest spots.. no i am beating myself up with that idea and wishing I had left everyone where they were.... at least I would have had 1/2 the eggs always in the warmest spots.

do all incubators have warmer spots and is that ok?

I will add water and keep praying

I'll add the Patience part!! Sit on your hands, read a book, go shopping, go visit friends, watch a couple long movies!!

hmm, since i have give my chicken eggs 108 F since they were set, i'm not too sure that one even will hatch

Joy, be patient...yeah right!!! ...sorry about last night, I was sleeping been sick...tell you in email...so how many eggs do you have set and where are you on the bating??

One more thing, the hardest part for me was when I first saw the pip and the tiny beak moving in there, then nothing for many hours. Even though I had read that it can take awhile from pip to zip, I wasn't prepared for the intense feelings of worry and impatience. The first one took 8 hours to get "re-energized" and zip out of that egg! I just knew it was all over before it even got started. SO,,, my strongest advice to you after keeping the incubator closed is DON'T WORRY!
