Day 18 normal??

Hello! So today is the start of day 18, When I candled the eggs, they didn’t seem to look like what the normal day 18 should... Is this normal or no?

So far I’ve learned that normal is subjective. I just had a chick hatch on day 27. Had major issues with the incubators. One started smoking after a few days... another couldn’t maintain the temperature well. The chick is in rough shape and the shell was super veiny like that. Seems like the umbilical cord is sticking out more than it should perhaps. At day 18 you should be more filled in then that so I’m guessing you’ll have a late hatch. Temperature and humidity right?

So far it’s all good. If it’s going to be a late hatch do I still follow lockdown at the end of the day?

Ya I would still follow lockdown or you could turn it one more day. I’ve turned an egg til the day it hatched because it got mixed up in the wrong incubator with all the issues I had and it still did just fine.

Do all of your eggs look like this and are you seeing movement?
What is the temp and humidity in your bator?

Technically you can stop turning as early as day 12, so definitely go for lockdown. They look a little behind.

Not all of my eggs look like this, I’ll try to find a couple of pics to show... show far the humidity is 55 and the temp is 99. I do see movement in them.
