Ok This is the first time That i have had my eggs be fertil and make it to day 18 (So far i have only had two others that i tried) My hens just started layin end of last month. Havent candled them til now, I have two eggs that are suppose to hatch on sunday. One is a Pure Americauna, from my (now only) Partridge Americauna hen Choclatini, and my Golden Duckwing Americauna Rooster Birdzilla. The second egg is a brown egg, I 'Think' its from my black sexlink Monica and the same rooster. Apparantly Birdzilla has finally mastered the mating thing, (lord knows he constantly practices), I have some other eggs of mine that are suppose to hatch on the 7 and 8th. Im going to candle them to see how they are coming along later today.

PS UPDATE on 3 Pheasent eggs, they were supppose to hatch on tuesday, nothing happened, took them out today, two were not fertil or did not develop, one made it almost all the way through development but died before completion. Oh well I will try some another time im sure.

All 4 of the silkies, showgirl and turken i hatched during the Tropical storm last weekend are still doing great and all 8 quail are working on week 2, still all thriving and bouncing around like ping pong balls.

I am sure you know , but these are the most important days. Keep the incubator shut and dont open it until the 22nd day. The humidity at this juncture must be high and opening the incubator and letting the humidity escape can create very poor hatch results.
