Good luck to you too! I wish it would pip a bit more so I can see what colour it is! I separated Lucas' from Little Bear's yesterday, not sure whether there's any advantage to that, but I figured it was my last chance to.
Oh I'll sit here with you as I know all to well the excitement your feeling of the Lavs!!! Yeah for pips!!! My first one started late on the evening of day 20 and then all the pippings were going on day 21!!!
Does that usually happen with your hatches? Mine always seem to be a little early, even if the temperatures have been perfect. It makes me wonder if I can't count (well I know I can't).
My Lucas eggs are hatching right now. They weren't due till the 19th, but the first lavender chick hatched last night. My sportsman seems to always push my hatches forward 2 days early. I am going to have to put a window in my bator though....hard not to open the door when there are so many chicks chirping away...especially when you want to know just how many are actually lavender...lol. I'll post pics of mine as soon as they are all hatched and fluffed.
