I think that the one egg I have left(of 4) has a detached air cell. It seems to be developing fine and the air cell is about the right size. It's under a broody hen. But the last 2 times I've candled(I had been candling every other day or so, but I'm trying to back off) the air cell rotates around when I turn it. But I've heard that the air cell should move all around the egg if it's detached and this one stays on the right end and just moves around on what seems like one point.

The less you mess with that egg, the better. Constantly moving it to observe the air cell motion can prevent it from attaching, if it were ever going to do so. Either it will hatch, or it won't. Do you see signs of life in the egg? That she has not eaten it is a positive sign. A hen will often eat non viable eggs.

That's why I'm not candling again until after Sunday if there is no pip. And the chick has continued to develop over the past week or so since I first noticed the difference in the air cell.
