Day 19-20 (lockdown) chick issues (with pics) help.

It's odd that your Brinsea is giving you a tough time. Perhaps talk to the company and see if there is something they can do for you.

Glad to hear you got some pips. Keep us informed throughout you hatch please.:fl

Well things are going south all are to big it seems to turn and half are in the small end one was breathing in it's own gunk and yolk I managed to get it's nose free left it but came back no movement and blood (I know I did not hit anything) no heart beat (yes I checked) got 2 more out that we're like the first but think I got to these ones on time still might lose a few more tho :he:he. I'm not going to deal with brinsea I'll just move past them.

How bad was the temp spike? That is very concerning, especially with a Brinsea. Is this incubator new for you or have you had successful hatches with it prior to this one? Love your new little chick:love...

I got it last year and the few hatchs I did have were good (minus some bad hatching eggs stock from a few sellers). I'm not sure but I noticed the damn thermometer has separated again in the stupid thing. Ugg

I would contact them and complain LOUDLY and get them to fix it. They are so expensive and pieces of it should not be coming off and you absolutely should be able to rely on the incredibly important heater and thermometer.

only issue is they will prob void warranty on it cuz we could not find the lil plastic screwdriver used to turn the heat up or down and had to use a small watch screwdriver and knowing companies like this they will go oh well u did such and such which caused the liquid in glass thermometer stuff to separate we can't fix it unless u pay us blah blah. That's why I just blew close to $600+- on a heka incubator hopefully have that soon German made not a assembled in the UK with cheap China made junk. Another chick out of it's shell was bleeding from were his yolk sac was absorbed into put a lil light pressure to stop the bleeding and he looks ok hopefully he will pull through
