Day 19 and hatching

Just got home late and heard peeping from under the broody chickens..(I have 4 rather keen hens who all want to be mummies to the 5 the pekin bantam eggs brought from eBay. They sit on top of and steal the fertile eggs at any opportunity). Anyway, it's only day 19 and 2 have already hatched!!! With the other 3 not far behind! This is early isn't it???

Anyway pictures to follow in the morning.

It is a little early, but within ranges - congrats!

BTW, are those YOUR strawberries in that avitar??? Those are huge (and yummy looking

)! That can't be real....can it?! LOL....

Yes they are real strawberries!!! Amazing aren't they.

So far I have a little black chick and a grey one with a yellow belly. The main hen to have sat on them is a normal sized hen... Grey with a red neck. The chicks will be tiny In comparison.

Congrats on your tiny fluff balls! Fortunately, the hen won't know (or care?) that they're small!
