Day 19 Halfway Over Already! Stage One, the first 49 Eggs * PIPS!!!!*

Good luck, Cynthia! Your camera takes good pictures through your viewing window.

I'm on Day 20th myself w/ some of Skeeter9's Ameraucanas. I'm trying not to just stare at the bator. I was doing really good this morning until I noticed I had a pip, now I won't get anything done today.

They are BAD chickies! Still, the first two RIRs pipped look pretty much the same and the third has a hole with a beak visible. The Welsummer has caught up to that one, with its beak showing. The pip in the Ameraucana egg is slightly larger and the Blue Orp pip is raised up a bit more. I hear a peep from time to time, but no other visible pips!

****Oops! A second Welsummer has pipped! Yippee! But, I'm about ready for a chick or two in the brooder!

Hey Speckled, I can't remember what day you are on?

At least you can see some beak action. All I have is pips, but no beak show yet.

Cyn and Smitty: You guys are hatching cousin chicks, did you realize that? Different parents, but all parents are from the same Cree hatch! What's incredible, is that you are hatching at the same time!!!

That's right, we are! We're inlaws, LOL. A Buff Orpington, one of Julie's, just pipped. 8 of 49. We have a way to go. Nobody wants to come out and play, they just want to peek out the window!
