This is a good question and you should repost it as a new post. Just click on the "Start a New Post" box at the top of these threads, just to the right of the "Post a Reply" box. You will get a lot more replies that you will get posting it on a Zombie thread. However, while you are here, the answer to your question is, "Yes, it is normal. She will continue to lay eggs while sitting until she has the maximum number that she thinks she can safely incubate. Hope this helps. Good luck with your brood.Is it normal for a hen to carry on laying eggs while it is sitting on them and does that not affect the chances of the egg hatching in a negative way?
