I locked down yesterday and have been trying to get humidity up. This morning it was only at 45% and the water was full, so I opened and quickly added some rolled paper towel strips in the well. Now it says 89%. Is this too high? I feel like I'm over thinking everything...Clearly this is my first time. lol

I don't think that's too high and it may drop a bit as it stabilises. The only issue is if you get a lot of condensation on the top of the incubator that could then potentially drip onto an egg where it's pipping. Better to have higher humidity at this stage so your new babies can slip out easily. Helping stuck babies is not fun! Good luck!

So you don't recommend that I remove some of the water?

Not unless there's a lot of condensation build up, but if your vents are open on your incubator there shouldn't be. Just leave them be and try not to stress to much (easier said than done I know)!
