My humidity is at 50% and I am not supposed to open the cover so how can I add more water to the trays????

Is it a commmercial incubator? There should be a way to add water without opening.

If it's a homemade bator and you have a wire floor that is up off the bottom, you can put a small hole in the side of the bator at the bottom and squirt warm water in the bottom. That's how I'm keeping my humidity up in my homemade bator. The water dish/sponge doesn't have enough surface area to keep the humidity up where it needs to be, but if I fill that 3 times a day and put a couple of ounces in the very bottom of the bator it stays up great.

Its day 20 for me, temps and humidity have been dead on all the way through, guess I have my homade bator tweaked just right.

I got lucky and have the day off tomorrow, I hope they all hatch while I'm home.

To add water in my bator without opening the lid, then I remove one of the vent plugs on top and use a straw and a syringe to inject the water into the plastic tray underneath the wire mesh.

The problem with opening the cover is that you loose a TREMENDOUS amount of humidity and temp instantly and it takes time to get it back up to the required levels. It can literally take hours to get it back up. That's precious time at this point. JMHO
