I am on day 19 with 20 eggs from my girls (RIR Wyandottes, Barred, Buffs). I had a problem with egg turner but not sure if it stopped completely. I candled before I put them back in bator last nite. there was something in them!!!
when will I hear or see something? I feel like I did when I was pregnant!!! I wanna nest...I have brooder ready and keep looking at the eggs and listening for something...anything!!!
oh and this is my first bator batch.....

if your temperature and humidity where within the norms all the way through you may start to hear some peeping or even see the start of an early external pip by tonight. Sometimes you see the eggs wiggle while the chick repositions. Good luck on the hatch!

You may see rocking eggs, or you may not. I'm ending Day 18 with two eggs in my hatcher and both have been kicking and rocking today. You'll probably get a few pips sometime on Day 20 and maybe hear a peep or two then.

I HEARD SOME PEEPS!!!! I just couldn't stop checking the bator all nite....temps are still 99.5 and humidity is up to about 67-68.
Tell me this...when they do hatch do I just leave them all in there or remove them one at a time? I am not sure about this part. should I let all the eggs hatch before I take any out????
wow this is sooooooo cooooool!!!!
I just love CHICKENS!!!!

you are suppose to leave them in the bator I believe until they hatch.

I am so glad you have peeps, mine have been in there for 20 days and nothing yet but I am hoping. I don't know if mine will hatch or not. this makes my 2nd time of trying, if they don't hatch I believe i will just give up trying.

from everything I have read here, you should NEVER give up!!! If at first you don't succeed, try and try and try and try ....again....
I think it will be worth it all to see even one little chickie hatch out!!!!
just to clarify...do I leave all the chicks in the bator while all the eggs hatch???

You need to leave them in the bator til they fluff out really well, opening the bator will only cause your humidity to go down and the others might not hatch...if you have more than a few that are popping out you can take those when they fluff up good but make sure you have your brooder set up and its nice and warm for them....Patience!...

I have all the things for the brooder so I will actually put it together and warm it up!!!
thanks...I will post when I have more news!!!!
