I'm gonna go out on a limb here and ask which incubator you use? Is it a Little Giant?

ya it is a lg my husband is gonna get me a better one i hope by spring he was given two of the lgs by a person he works with thats kids used them when they were doing 4 h and all was going well with them i mean temp was good i got that down right away it stayed between 99 and 100 for the most part until that one temp spike i think it had alot to do with the fact that it was super hot in the house the kids happend to be playing with the thermostat and turned the heat on and i did not notice this until we got back from town which was also when i seen that the temp was 106 i have one chick that has made it so far one hatched and did not make it and i still have 4 eggs that are showing no signs of hatching what incubator would u suggest

Really glad you have at least one hatched and is well. DONT turn off the incubator for at least a couple of days you might have some slow starters. You could try candling them again and seeing if they are moving in the egg, if they are still alive in there they will move in response to the light. Or try listening if any of them are cheeping
